Monday Noon Position
Another quiet and hot night as we motored south
west but as prophesied the wind started to blow this morning exactly as we
reached the latitude of 14degs N which was the point I planned to start heading
west towards the Caribbean!. So the mainsail was gybed, the genoa poled out
'goosewinged' and the engine shut down. The wind built steadily to an occasional
maximum of 17knots and Moonbeam just steams westwards! Hopefully conditions will
last and we will now make good time to Bequia.
As of 1900 hrs we have made good 1225 miles
since leaving La Gomera. We look forward to reporting a good noon to noon run
tomorrow!
All is well on board and two fish of unknown type
found their way to the dinner table tonight!
Best wishes. David, Lynn, John, Jane
