Thursday Noon       Day's run 156 miles

For once we are not goosewinged but on a very broad reach; It has not stopped the rolling but it is reduced. The crew are in a veritable state of excitement as the destination is almost "just around the corner"  The island of Barbados will soon be visible on the starboard bow and as I write this at 1700hrs local (2100UTC) the anchorage in Bequia is exactly 150 miles away - within our usual 24 hour mileage.

Paul & Janie from "Shian" have already booked a restaurant for Saturday night and will hoist a barbecue if we get there in time tomorrow. We plan to spend 2 or 3 days in Bequia then head down to the Tobago Cays and Carriacou before heading north to St Lucia for the crews' flights back to cold and reality!

We are looking forward to nights at anchor where we should not be fighting to stay in our bunks nor listening to the sound of waves rushing past the hull!

All the best from all aboard "Moonbeam"
