Monday morning I listened to the weather radio at 0500 and decided that it would be a late start but by 0600 the sky had cleared so we left at 0620, motoring into a light SW wind which as forecasted went Westerly and we had a glorious close reach with 2 reefs in the main and later a few rolls in the genoa ; touching 8.5 knots for a while and still avoiding lobster pots in over 300ft of water!

We arrived at the fuel dock in Marblehead exactly 12 hours after leaving Portland with 77 miles on the log.

On Tuesday we collected our autopilot which has hopefully been repaired and enjoyed a birthday lunch at the Barnacle. Hurricane Irene is possibly heading this way and Marblehead is pretty congested after looking at various options we have moved over to the Inner Harbour in Gloucester and as of Thurday evening we are at anchor here watching the forecast!
