The bright lights of Spanish Town had little to hold us so after a couple
of nights there we headed across to Lee Bay on the west side of Great Camanoe.
We had the anchorage to ourselves for a while but it soon filled up.

Lee Bay
While snorkelling I came face to face with a spear gun held by a lady
hunting Lionfish which are starting to populate the Caribbean.

Full Moon rising
However northerly swells set in during the night and the bay became
uncomfortable and everyone left early!
We headed up to White Bay which is a true Caribbean anchorage but as it
seemed likely the swells would find their way in we headed back east and
anchored in the lee of Marina Cay.

Scrub Island
Typical Bank Holiday weather hits the BVI’S and Good Friday’s torrential (
warm ) rain allowed us to give the decks a good scrub and catch lots of fresh
water for rinsing boat gear to get salt off. The boat next to us managed to fill
their 400 litre water tank in a very short time! Strong winds too over the
Easter Weekend with 25 knots and grey skies and more showers so we stayed put!
We watched a new charter Beneteau sail onto the rocks and put out a May
Day. The crew were taken off by rib and the yacht was left
pounding for several hours before it was eventually towed
off.

Deck scrubbing in the torrential ( warm ) rain!!!!
However we met up again with Mark and Amanda aboard “Magnum” and met Becky
and Ike aboard “Rhythm” and managed a good book swap!
Monday was still fresh with 25 knots but bright so we headed off down to
Cooper Island.
