Thursday was gloriously sunny and hot and we spent the morning preparing “Moonbeam” for sea. Tropical storm “Sean” was still hanging around Bermuda and had delayed the start of the Caribbean 1500 Rally from Monday to Friday.

In the afternoon we borrowed a “woodie” again and paid a visit to “Piggly Wigglie” the local supermarket to top up provisions- however we would have been better to drive further afield!

Friday morning was time for a full American Breakfast in the Boardwalk Café and we felt no need for lunch and we left Beaufort Docks at 12.45.

We were soon sailing in the good NW breeze but the swell and wind direction forced us more west of our ideal course. As per the forecast the wind died during the night and yet again the services of Mr Yanmar were called upon.

A cold night with a full moon and dolphins and a sunny Saturday morning saw us heading SE towards the Eastern Caribbean.
