Friday 7th May we were still rushing around doing jobs on the house but at 5pm we slipped the mooring and motored through Cuan Sound to Loch Spelvie. No wind, very cool but stunning scenery.

Anchored at the Royal Highland Muster and spent Saturday in glorious sunny weather stowing "stuff" including repacking the lazarette to take the spare dinghy. A great feast of mussels ashore courtesy of Douglas and Helen Wilson then back to Moonbeam with the crew of "Strolla Mor".

Sunday was again windless in the morning and we motored up Loch Aline and arrived just as the wind filled in from the North. The afternoon was spent visiting friends, sitting in the sun and enjoying the surroundings of Ardtornish which is a favourite place.

Monday we left at noon to catch the first of the ebb at Cuan and had a great sail touching 8.3 knots in sunny but bitterly cold conditions. The rudder modifications appear to be a success with less helm needed to make corrections, the Autopilot software update is a success and the watermaker makes water which tastes ok but hasn't been tried in whisky yet which is the ultimate test! So until things start to break again most things appear to be working!

Back home Monday evening for a quick dash to the Shower of Herring with Jim and Catherine for a lovely meal as usual.

Now Moonbeam's freezer and frig is full and we are finishing off some paperwork and cast off tomorrow seeing as today is the 13th!
