Wednesday 23rd June

Alarm went off at 05.05(!) and cast off at 05.50 to catch the tide at the marina entrance. When we returned to Moonbeam yesterday there was a yacht moored alongside but they found another berth when we said we were leaving at 05.30!
Beautiful morning and we motored with the tide with us until 09.00 when at last we got some wind.

Wind eased but such a lovely day we carried on sailing and decided to head for Ile de Yeu instead of carrying on to Spain.

Entered Ile de Yeu at 11.30 local and relaxed!  Very hot in a lovely harbour where they have squeezed in 600 berths as well as the local fishing fleet docks.

Walked around the town which is amazingly self contained for an island.

Superb fishmonger provided sardines and prawns for dinner after we had visited Twayblade RCC for drinks along with 2 other RCC crews.

Tempting to stay another day but will head for Spain tomorrow...................
