Charlotte Amalie was a pleasant stop although the town itself is given over to catering for cruise ship passengers with jewellery shops lining the main streets and most restaurants are only open during the day and do not serve dinner!
Travelling on the $ bus is fun and you are expected to say ' good morning' or ' good afternoon' to your fellow passengers as you board. We met up again with Paul and Janie and said our goodbyes as it is unlikely we will see them again until next year.

On Saturday we sailed over to Culebra a small island just east of Puerto Rico where we anchored for the night in Ensanada Honda and went ashore to the small town of Dewey to walk to the airport and complete our immigration into the US!

The island is fairly unspoilt and good beaches and then next morning we picked up a free mooring for the night behind one of the reefs and enjoyed the warm breeze from the east.

Monday was quieter as local boats were at their moorings and we headed around the island via Isla Culebrita and past Flamenco Beach then headed west for Puerto Rico. After a glorious sail we negotiated the shallows and docked in Sunbay Marina in Fajardo where apart from being alongside Terry and Debbie on 'Wings' we were surrounded by glossy motorboats!
