After a day in L'Aberwrach, walking inland and around the coast we agreed we would cross the Channel on Wednesday as there was no wind predicted on Thursday and it was forecast to blow and rain on Friday and Saturday. We had a great sail, leaving the French Coast at 4.40 am and motored for the first hour against the tide to the Libenter Buoy. For the next 70 miles we averaged just over 7knots, on a close reach across the Channel. The wind died and the last 20 miles was motoring, into the Helford River for the night. After a day of sorting the boat out we sailed back to our mooring, coming ashore yesterday morning.

For the last two days it has been wet and windy so good timing!
