Today we have passed the halfway mark on schedule! We are below our course in order to stay in the wind belt. All is well on board, we are travelling at about 6 knots with the genny poled out on port and the jib sheet through the end of the boom on starboard. This seems to give us a good speed with less roll in the two and a half metre swells we have at present. We have seen few ships or other yachts, little wildlife apart from the odd flying fish and a few birds and are occupying our time reading and catching up on sleep lost during the night. The other boats have been allowed to fish however our skipper has banned fishing whilst the towed generator is out, one of the other boats managed to get the fishing line round the wind generator and had to climb onto the gantry to unscramble the mess, no mean feat in this sea.
