We left Lombok and motored over to Gili Aer. After our day investigating the three islands and snorkelling sites yesterday with Ali in a hired "slow" boat we decided to pick up a mooring off the innermost island, which is quieter than the party island of Gili Trawangan. We left at 8am and motored to our current position, but touched the reef on our way here. Helen dived down and checked the keel which is minus some expensive anti fouling but otherwise ok thankfully.
We have spent the day swimming and relaxing at a bar called Scallywags. As I type this the water is boiling with small fish being chased by tuna all round the boat.
