No wind so motored the 24 miles round to La Camarinas.
Pretty place but yet to explore.
We have found the leak!! Ever since filing the boat with water prior to launching (don't ask) we have been baling small amounts of water out of the bilges. At first we thought it was to do with water trapped in unseen channels and that this water came through to the bilges as the boat rolled. However we began to expect other causes so further delving into the bowels of the boat on regular occasions has taken place ever since we left Flushing. I (Mark) had carried out the three point water test and confirmed that it was fresh water (not salt or heads!!). Bits of kitchen roll acting as soakers finally traced the leak to a loose jubilee clip in the forward heads which was allowing water to weep from the joint but only when the fresh water pump was on. The water then followed a route of about 5 feet vertically and then 10 feet horizontally to arrive at the bilge but en route submerging the Fray Bentos pies in water! Now hopefully drying out.
