!. The whale sighted as we approached Isla Graciosa at the end of our passage from Madeira. It was about 50 metres away from the boat.
2. Isla Graciosa
3 & 4. Fishing boat---catching little sardines between our moored boats. We were watching him from Oyster Moon about to hit Marita! The man in the rowing boat identifies through a sight box where the fish are hiding (close to our boats! and they then circle with a net. They have come most evenings about 1730. We bought some off the quay the following day--delicious
5. The village of Graciosa---very Arab like.
6&7. The church. Inside the altar arrangement is based around a boat. The altar table has an anchor as it's base, the lecturn is a ship's wheel, and the priests chair has a scallop shell shape plus several other items of nauticalia forming a dual function.
7. Helen swimming with Paul from Oyster Moon.
