40 mile sail here after refuelling at Marina a Coruna. Sitting at anchor in the sun---makes a change as it rained in La Coruna this morning. Good sail with a bit of motoring especially towards the end as we were getting thirsty!
Yesterday we took the train to Santiago de Compostela, by far the easiest way to go, 35 minutes straight there. We were there for mass and saw the huge incense burner which is swung from aisle to aisle across the Cathedral. It is a very moving place. After a delicious fish lunch we returned to the boat.
We didn't realise how noisy La Coruna was till we anchored here, we will provision tomorrow, fish I expect as this is a fishing village with mussel beds.
For those of a nautical persuasion, the old marina is good and close to the town centre, the new one is vast with good facilities but rather sterile, with a long walk to the showers.
