At the start of day five we are nearer the French coast having sailed east during the night to try and get out of the strong north easterly air flow that was bringing uncomfortable seas. The sea is calmer but we now have to work our way north in more northerly winds despite the gribs saying that the wind would tend to the north west. Good sailing but frustrating wind direction!
