Our diversion to Mahon, Menorca to fix the anchor windlass, that turned out not be faulty, was well worthwhile. A lovely island from the initial approach into Mahon
to the quay and marina
and a delightful and friendly town

a lovely church where we listened to an organ recital
the organ had 5 keyboards and the acoustics from this immensely powerful organ were amazing
We sailed to Palma, Mallorca via Porto Cristo, a small harbour but again friendly and attractive.
We anchored on arrival at 2230 and the following morning moored stern to on the town quay
and visited the market
and the beach
After two nights there we set sail for Palma, Mallorca and were pleasantly surprised to find that the cost per night on the marina was under 50 euro. We had all the facilities of the Real Club Nautico including the swimming pool
the bar and terrace overlooking all the super yachts,(including Marita)

we visited the Cathedral

and wandered the streets seeing performing artists
a house that had been turned upside down (looking for something?)
and the sights
After three days we left for Cartagena via Formentera where we anchored overnight
saw the sun set
and then sailed to Cartagena returning to the Western hemisphere in the early hours (0038 UTC, 0238 local time) of Saturday morning 15 June 2013
having passed into the Eastern hemisphere at 0537 local time on the 3 July 2012 between Tonga and Savu Savu, Fiji.
