After our week's exertions we are here for the weekend. We left the officialdom of Figueira da Foz and sailed down the coast with big winds and waves -we did not know the wind strengths but were told that they were 20 - 25 knots all day. This friendly marina is run by an English couple who came here 11 years ago and have never left! The windex cable awaits us in Cascais which requires another trip up the mast for Mark with me controlling the ropes! We are off to see the sights and go inland to see some more of Portugal as the winds are forecast to blow for the next couple of days. We are told by the English couple that this is the worst summer they have had here.
