The trip from Gili Banta to our next anchorage at Kilo was about 60 miles so we were departed at 0530 in order to give ourselves time to get there before dark.  We had only about 10 knots of wind most of the day and ended up motor sailing.  We arrived late, and had to anchor in deep water and too close to the shore for comfort.  The bay was more exposed than we hoped and was pretty uninspiring, with black sand, numerous fishing canoes and a line of trees hiding the rather poor village.  We were quickly surrounded by children in dug-out canoes all hoping to be given gifts.  Unfortunately, it was late, we were tired, so no gifts!  However, we did have a very peaceful and quite night with Tashi Delek nailed to the sandy seabed.
