We bought our dingy second hand from Sunsail five years ago.  Pretty much the smallest and lightest they had with an inflatable rather than rigid bottom.  It has served us well even if it was not exactly streamline through the water and subject to taking in as many waves as we bounced over, whenever we went in anything other than millpond flat water.  It has been falling to bits for most of this year so the time had come for a replacement and we knew there was a good choice of duty free dinghy's in St Marten.

Having done our research and knowing exactly what we wanted we went to look at the display and decided fairly quickly that we had got it entirely wrong.  Our initial choice was going to be too heavy for the two of us to manage with ease.

We now have a proper seat complete with insert for a can of beer and compartment for such useful objects as head torch for night time travel and/or peanuts to go with the beer.  The oars stay fixed inside with their own special straps and there are proper rowlocks for the oars.  Luxury.

Delighted with our purchase we were nevertheless a bit sad to leave our old one behind.
