Pouring with rain and no sign of it stopping so chugging along the ICW is less fun than it could be. However we are not rolling around and can drink out of china cups so that is something to enjoy.

We anchored last night and the mosquitos flew a very long way in the hope of a decent meal.  Most were thwarted by our mosy nets.  We know this because when we unhooked the one over our cabin door this morning a cloud flew up.  They were dead within seconds thanks to the handy can of fly-spray.

We have just pulled in to a marina in a small town called Bellhaven where they were happy for us to tie up for ten minutes to drop off Ross and Loren so they can get back to Washington.  Slightly tricky, very narrow and shallow channel reading nothing whatsoever on the depth gauge.  We turned the corner to find  that the jetty was designed for a big ferry or motorboat with huge wooden piles that our usual fenders would have just fallen between.  Thankfully with four of us on board there were enough hands to hold Tashi Delek off while we re-rigged the fenders.  The group fishing on the quay all had to pull their lines in to let us pass and seemed a bit bemused by our presence.

Several long days ahead now when we will need to chug along from dawn to dusk to reach Norfolk, Virginia and then sail the rest of the way in the Chesapeake to Deltaville.
