19th Wedding Anniversary.  Perfect for a leisurely day-sail to Madeira.

 

Sunshine and light winds as we set off quickly clouded into heavy rain and general misery.

The men, including Seafaring Gnomey, bravely stayed at their post while Carol and Moyra did the sensible thing and caught up on some sleep.

 

 

Barratt’s cheerful red vane was the only bright thing to be seen.

There certainly wasn’t anything cheerful on the horizon.

The skipper stayed cheerful......  (it was his wedding anniversary after all)

 

 

We got there and the marina showers were fabulous.  Plush, huge, hot.  Perfect.
