Several months ago we rediscovered the joys of Milo now our drink of choice on the long night watches.

Even better, our fantastic cruisers recipe book described how metal tins can be used to bake banana bread in, stick the lid on while still hot and it keeps for ages.

Great fun. You open the bottom end and push the loaf out. All worked very well but we have no idea what the point is – why would you keep it for ages?? Even overnight is a challenge for us when it comes to anything resembling a cake.
