We felt extremely privileged to join Michael and Diane for Thanksgiving dinner.  Turkey and all the trimmings.

Excellent wines…..

…and Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie and mince pies.

All this socialising and making merry but it was time to get on and get ready for our passage which meant a big shop for provisions and picking Brad up from the airport.  Cue Don and Dee’s car and a ferry ride.

It was only a brief encounter with real life however because once we had battled with Wal-Mart we were heading for dinner with Diane’s brother Tom, his wife Trish and their two children at their fabulous beach house.  We were embarrassingly late having taken an age to navigate our way round the vast supermarket and collect everything we needed but they were kind in the extreme and even steamed a second batch of oysters for our arrival.

They were incredibly good.

All too soon it was time to leave and head for the airport to pick up Brad who had flown down from Michigan to sail with us to the Virgin Islands.  Time to get to work and prepare for the passage.
