Unfortunately Hugh had to return to UK for a couple of weeks to attend a family funeral, so Meryon and Mike were alone again on Tashi Delek to move her to the next rendezvous with the Rally fleet at Lovina Beach on the island of Bali some 320 miles further west.  We decided to do the trip as a series of day sails between the anchorages along the north coast of Sumbawa and Lombok islands with possibly one overnight passage to cross the 60 mile wide passage between Lombok and Bali islands. We wanted to arrive in Lovina Beach in time for the events that had been arranged for the Rally Fleet.  However, the first leg was a gentle 33 miles to Gili Banta, an extinct volcanic island on the edge of the Komodo region.

Getting ready leave Eco Lodge and glad not to have to row so far ashore in shallow water ever again!
