So, anchor down and set to work. Kit ferried Mike ashore to go to customs and immigration and Michael to entirely the other side of the bay to meet his mother, sister and her boyfriend. Load the dingy up with all the shopping that Rosemary, Ghita and Jesse had kindly done and bring it straight back for the preparation of festive meal.
Back to one side to bring Mike back to boat then other side to collect Michael and family. Open the champagne. |
And open the fantastic stockings that Rosemary and Ghita had brought for us all. Michael was particularly thrilled with his hand knitted tea cosy and will never again need to serve his family cold tea........ |
Michael said a few words about his experience. Actually more than a few and they were funny, clever and moving.
Then followed with a fabulous gift of Barolo, a real favourite of Mike’s that Michael had gone to considerable trouble, aided and abetted by Rosemary and Ghita, to source in Canada. |
We squeezed in for dinner.... |
But before long it was time for Michael to leave for his flight............... |
While we enjoyed our first Caribbean sunset.....
Then Michael called to say he hadn’t been allowed on the flight.
