Brad and Vicky took us for a couple of days stay in their condominium on the shores of Mullet Lake which feeds into Lake Huron.  We went out for a few hours on their pontoon boat and explored some of the lake and river…….

Those “Games Makers” get everywhere!

Our 20th wedding anniversary coincided with a gathering they had organised for their son Alex’s first wedding anniversary……………..

Our next adventure was a football game.  A first for Carol.  That’s football as in American football, not soccer which Carol has been to albeit a very long time ago.

Michigan State University versus Notre Dame University and it was really, really important.  We were very honoured to be there among a capacity crowd.  Michigan State were the home team and one huge section of the stand is reserved for their students who all wore white tee shirts so they looked very impressive en masse.

Then the University Marching Band.  The biggest in the world apparently and we wouldn’t argue – there were a lot of them.

And a lot of other entertainment that was difficult to photograph as it got darker but included, Cheerleaders, Acrobats, Cheerleaders, a dog that caught Frisbees (actually a lot more entertaining than it sounds), cheerleaders, various competitions, fan cams, cheerleaders oh, and some football……..

We had a great night.  Thoroughly entertaining and even Carol started to get the hang of it by the end.  Sadly our favoured team – Michigan State – lost, having been expected to win but all in all an excellent night.  Not entirely sure we’d be signing up for a season ticket though.
