We had another great day out, this time with Tom and Susie from Adina.

Fantastic snorkelling in the inlets, this one famous as the home of sea snakes.  Sea snakes are very poisonous indeed however they are virtually blind, very docile and can only open their mouths a tiny bit so the only place they could realistically bite you is on the thin piece of skin between your fingers so you would have to work quite hard to get bitten.

 

There were none to be found in the open but they were asleep under rocks in a cave that then opened out again.  This required Carol to swim through a (yes well OK it was fairly short) tunnel in the rock which, thanks to Toms encouragement and his standing on the other side as an aiming point, she successfully did.

When shown one of these black and white striped creatures Carol declared “It looks just like a snake”.  Full marks for clarity on that one Carol.

 

Then onward to more lovely scenery.
