Ambrosia indeed.  Ten days in and our rations are more tinned than fresh although Moyra was making bread every other day and we had fresh yogurt thanks to the clever yogurt maker that Mum bought for Mike last year.

Michael knew that rice pudding would be the perfect desert for one of the bottles of Madeira that we had bought from our visit there.  And it was.  Note, high quality of serving dish, pudding bowl and Madeira glass.
