1,452 miles run,  740 to go.

Today’s guest blogger is Moyra..........

We have now gone from 35-40k winds and tremendous swells, to 7k breezes and a calm sea. However that does not mean that we will have a fish of opportunity caught by our very own ancient mariner, Michael. As a result of having the engine on, Michael has decided to trawl another day.

All watches last night were wet. The engine was on all night and we were all dressed in our west coast of  Scotland gear. However, today the sun is out, and it is almost.. but not quite... too hot to sit in the cockpit. The engine drones on.

The only interesting event that happened last night was Michael’s near head on collision with the moon.

‘Mike Mike,’ Michael hollered at 1am.’There is a light coming straight for us , what shall I do?’

Mike, as ever, jumped out of his bed and came to the rescue.

‘That’s the moon.’ was Mike’s patient reply, ‘veer to the left and all will be well.’

Such an easy mistake to make with the rain lashing down in front of you.

After a day or two’s rest, the knitting bee has started up again and there is progress on the making of the brown Labrador’. Onto the stuffing stage and I am looking in every nook and cranny for suitable material, to pad said dog out. Next in line is the Jack Russell. All dogs are found in the following book ; Best in Show, knit your own dog, by Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne. All you dog lovers who cannot, for whatever reason, have a dog of your own, this is the book for you. www.anovabooks.com or have a look on Amazon !

Speak again soon, off to practice my risotto making skills.

All the best from the crew of Tashi Delek.
