9 am.  Time to go.

On the right the little red boat goes into the water ready to help us get out.  Quite a performance.

The Captain and one of the crew then came over in the boat carrying a line and piece of paper.  Rob, Sarah and Carol looked at each other and laughingly said “Bet that’s a disclaimer” meanwhile Mike is getting things ready at the stern and discussing our plan with them.  Piece of paper passed over, passed back and yes, indeed it was a disclaimer.  They don’t usually do this sort of thing, as they said – they are not Tow Boat US, so had typed something up specially for the occasion.  They were so concerned about not marking Tashi Delek that they had devised a plan to pull us round with a line attached to our stern rather than the usual pushing you round that is usually done in marina’s.

All went well and we twizzled out with inches to spare either side.

We headed out along the last bit of the waterway into Chesapeake Bay past ……….. more cranes……… more Navy…......

And four submarines…. Difficult to see, but the most obvious is on the left.
