Four nights at anchor in the same place!

We have reached the edge of the marine conservation area on the north east of Sardinia and anchored under a stunning rockface amid a group of very pretty islands.  There are plenty of anchorages here so we will be able to move on in short hops for a while now rather than long sailing days.  Lots of work still to do, fixing additional rope clutches, reconfiguring where the kedge anchor is going to live, rust to be got rid of on the stainless steel, child netting to be fitted, curtains and blinds to be made and and and.

Progress has been made up to and including child netting down one side of the boat.  Will had warned us that this is a nighmare to put on, and it is.  Still we have another month to go before Josh, Dan and Isla are on board so we should have finished the job by then.

Progress on anything is somewhat delayed by the endless distractions of super yachts.  This is a very wealthy cruising area so there is a very high concentration of huge and fabulous yachts both sailing and motor.  The sailing ones are stunning to look at so we get the binoculars out and have a good look.

The weather is not so good however.  Thunderstorms and heavy rain for much of the time.  Tedious.

On our way we came across a fabulous butchers in a small place called Arbatax which consisted mainly of a paper mill and a lot of cranes building what looked like an oil rig.  All the more delightful because it was so unexpected.  Corn fed chicken, fantastic pork chops, local cheese and olive oil in stoppered, unlabeled bottles from the butchers house.
