19th May.  We have pottered through the islands finding delightful anchorages and small villages.  There have been some windy nights which means disturbed sleep (for Mike mainly!) but no dramas so, once again, we are pleased we replaced the anchor and chain last year for something bigger, longer and heavier than had been originally fitted when she was a charter boat.

We are now having a couple of days in an anchorage called Port Stretto on the island of Nisos Arki.  The word ‘Port’ is something of an exageration as there are a couple of little houses and about three fishing boats.  Short walk into the village to the minimarket for some basic supplies however we didn’t need soap, toothpaste, tins of smoked oysters or rice so we were out of luck.  On to the taverna for a glass of the local wine where the owner was very happy to sell us a loaf of bread and some tomatoes.

A tiny harbour on a tiny island with no real signs of tourism other than two well kept tavernas and a sign pointing to rooms to let.  It was beautifully cared for with what looked like new stone paving and flowering shrubs planted.
