Jack and George both got the hang of helming the boat extremely quickly both when sailing……..

and when manoeuvring in tight corners such as the passage between the islands at Tobago Cays….

They were dab hands at dropping the anchor which requires close observation of where the chain is and clear hand signals to the helm………

and at picking the anchor back up which involves one person pressing buttons on the handset while the other one goes face down into the anchor locker to lay the chain out neatly (flake it).  Short straw to jack on this occasion.

The next important skill is starting the outboard and then driving the dingy and we loved being passengers once they had got the hand of that ……………
