Change of plan.  We are now heading for Puerto Rico.  The weather forecast indicates that we would have a very difficult and uncomfortable ride smacking straight into big waves if we had carried on in that direction so it wasn’t a difficult decision to head more directly south.  Disappointing of course given that Puerto Rico was our least favourite port of call so far and because then getting to the Virgin Islands will take several more days but then that’s what happens when you are sailing and there are bound to be adventures wherever we end up.  The key thing about Bocaron on the west coast, where will probably anchor to begin with is that they have a bakery making the best cinnamon buns we have tasted.

We have had a couple of rough and rolly seas which has been unpleasant and tedious but it is slightly better now.  We are also beginning to get our sea legs back so that helps.

We saw two pilot whales very briefly, flying fish once and a squid landed on deck in one of the waves that broke over the bow.  We (ie Brad) tried fishing a couple of days ago but to no avail and it has been way to rough to bother since so the sushi set is still in the bilges and we are eating our way through the fridge.
