Back to Tashi Delek for the continued process of getting all the stuff that lives on the outside back onto the outside plus cleaning and painting.  The shiny blue line above the waterline (the Bootstripe) was due for a touch up and the hull needed a coat of antifouling to keep the barnacles at bay.  All very tedious but the sun was shining and we enjoyed the boatyard; the people we met there and the immediate area very much.

Because we had good weather we were able to get everything done in plenty of time for the arrival of the travel lift ready for our launch.

While getting the back of the boat ready we discovered that visitors had moved into the deck shower…..

….. a partly built wasps nest we think.

 

Just as we were launched talk in the boatyard turned to Hurricane Sandy which might, just might be heading our way.  Nothing certain at this stage so everyone carried on getting their boats ready.  We got two sails on and then….  The forecasts changed and it all looked a bit more serious for Deltaville.  At that point we looked like being hit very hard and so on to the Hurricane Blog……
