From Toronto, Canada to Corunna, Michigan USA.
Our friend Brad went above and beyond the call of duty and drove for six hours to pick us up in Toronto. We had got to know Brad a couple of years ago when we were berthed on the same pontoon in the marina and then next to each other in the boatyard in Turkey. This is quite something given that there were about 2,500 boats in the marina. Our tracks next crossed in Ibiza where we met by chance, then in Lanzarotte where we did at least know each other would be there. We crossed the Atlantic on different routes but met up again in Antigua and then the Virgin islands.
Brad and his wife Vicky were extraordinarily generous hosts so much so that Brad was delighted for Mike to ride his immaculate and much loved Harley through the fabulous open spaces round their home.
First the helmet……
And a gentle warm up down the drive…….. note the leather waistcoat……… and the dog taking close interest from the lawn….. |
Off we go along the track…….., still fairly gently……. |
But before long, all the old skills are back and he’s off through the fields with the wind on his knees. All too soon it is time to come back; to the relief of the dog………. |
