Tashi Delek is in the United States!

The rest of our passage was stormy and uncomfortable as  forecast but we just had to put up with it.

With some great charts, lent to us by Duncan and Ria on Sea Topaz, and some great local knowledge over the radio from Rob on Ventana we decided to enter the harbour after dark rather than spend another night being thrown around.  We dropped anchor at midnight and had a good nights sleep.

Round to the town dock/marina today where the Customs and Border Patrol guys were waiting to board us!  Actually, this had all been planned and expected and they were charming.  One did all the paperwork while the other went through our fridge and cupboards.  A rather nice salami we had carried with us from Spain was duly removed along with two pears, the remains of a pint of milk and a tin of lamb curry.  All in the interests of keeping pests and diseases out of the States.  The full story will be in a blog.

Tomorrow (Wednesday) we head off along the intra-coastal waterway which we are really looking forward to as a complete change of pace.

All for now.
