Actually Big Majors Spot, an island in the Exumas. Part of the Bahamas.

This was the best option for more lively weather and as I write this we are being tossed about as much as we were in the Atlantic, only we are at anchor.  There are about 25 yachts and motor boats sheltering here including our friends on Phalarope.  Much chatter to and fro on the radio and quite a little community building up even though no-one can actually visit anyone.

This bay is partly famous for the pigs on the beach who swim out to you if they think there is any chance of a scrap or two.  Pigs on a beach, a strange sight.

“No, you’ve had enough.  If you don’t finish off the used tea bags then you can’t have the apple core………………………..”

“It’s no use asking me, you heard what he said……………………..”

There is also a very splendid cockerel parading up and down then exercising his vocal cords atop a rock.  Unfortunately I couldn’t get a particularly good picture with the waterproof camera but he is just about visible on the left.
