The shopping shed and fish shack, Thursday 19 Jan 12

The best supermarket, by far, for miles around is in a shed.  Fantastic fresh fruit and veg and pretty good meat in the freezer.  Fresh herbs next to 5 Kg buckets of Bicarbonate of Soda, mosquito coils next to the chilli oil and disposable turkey roast trays by the hundred displayed next to the soap powder.  Bizarre but effective.

Note the roof by the side of the road.  This is the roof to the bus shelter.  The posts and supports have vanished.  Could be a hurricane which accounts for most damage you see but a bit weird if it is the roof that has stayed put and the posts that have gone.

On the other side of the car park is the fish shack.  Very colourful on the outside with a couple of industrial size cold boxes and a nice lady on the inside.  They sell what has just been caught and it was fresh, fresh, fresh.

To finish, a random photograph of Tashi Delek taken as we returned in the dingy one evening.

The sunsets are glorious and we promise not to keep sending photographs of them.
