1965 miles run, 263 miles to Antigua  (swimming distance according to Michael)

Getting there.  We expect to arrive in Falmouth Harbour on Christmas Day so our festivities will be flexible to say the least.

Huge excitement yesterday when we spent over four hours with Minke Whales.  We stopped counting after sixty.  They were huge, up to 30ft long, and came very close.  We had a big sea with 4 metre swell which they seemed to love surfing down so we would see them coming nose down in the front of a wave and then they would swim alongside the boat for a few minutes, usually on their back or their side so we could see the white of their tummies and white flashes on their flippers.  They would then dive under the boat and swim off.  Slightly nerve racking because we were bouncing around on the big sea and while we had complete faith in their ability to avoid us the sea was making Tashi Delek move unexpectedly and we did not want to hit one of them.  In the evening one swam alongside us for an hour or more until it went dark.  Great fun.

The winds are with us again with a record gust of 51.5 knots (Stm Force 10) during the night with Carol on the helm.  We are watching squalls go by and, as I write this, paying close attention to a thunderstorm up ahead.  At least at sea you can see bad weather that is a long way off and take avoiding action.

Hopefully next update we will at least be in sight of Antigua........
