Continuing with the steady progress east on port tack. The wind has held up the whole time, direction oscilates a lot slower so at times, to keep same COG have been close reaching 15 degrees off a beat which does increase speed and sometimes has a flatter boat. During the night did see stars for a couple of hours unlike the previous 3 nights then the clouds came back. During the morning clouds cleared and we have had sunshine, which John thoroughly enjoyed as he got warm after 4 or 5 days feeling a little chilly especially when on deck. Downside to the clear sky could be a colder night on deck later. 463nm to go.

Today had to go and find the box with meals in as all the ones in galley cupboards had been eaten. Fortunately had put the box in with the sails so was relatively easy to get and store at the angle of heel as all cupboards have items fall out when opened.

Last night's dinner no mash as the mutton can was not a particularly wet meal, it did look a little bland and tasteless. Tasted better than it looked.

Tonight's effort will be meatballs in spagetti, carrots, mash(maybe), cheese, sliced bread and tropical fruits.
