Position 37.44.290N 25.39.930W Early Tuesday checking weather and routing, looks long
and arduous with lots of little or no wind patches to navigate through/by. Trip
north could be 10 days or more if stays as is.
Today the start is in a drifter forecast 3-7 knots, most
think will go east as into the wind and may get us away from the island earlier
so rest can be taken especially for the singlehanders.
Harold Snr is going to start the race as some new
software on test sail Saturday worked well. Mainsail now has patches on it
covering holes and wear. Hole caused by one split pin leg pointing outwards, not
sure how that happened as all good before left.
Must carry on tidying boat for life at sea and find
waterproofs as rain now and forecast to carry on all day.
Next update from sea.
