Busy 24 hours since starting. We had a good start right on the pin in the combined Class 1 & 2 start. The 1st leg to an inflatable off Barbuda was good with the assymetric although the wind switched off and changed direction so a lot of quick sail changes as tempoarily arriving at mark and changed a few positions. Next to Nevis leave to starboard held our own wit the symmetric spinnaker up. Both legs we were hand steering so on 1 hour watches. We tried to keep the symmetric up to go north, bad decision so after a gybe in the dark a drop also a drop required and the assymetric up. Near the end of this leg we lost a few positions as we could not hold the assymetric and others could. Now we are on a 30 mile beat losing loads, we just cannot get her going in these seas, at least a knot slower than evryone else and they are specks on the horizon.

Went to cook dinner last night and found another can had exploded, a chicken in white sauce, horrible mess to clean up.

Dinner was chicken metballs in gravey, peas, soft roll the peaches.

In just over 24 hours hve covered 175nm.
