Start line set East - West and we could go east or west
around the Island. Class 3 start I was in I think all opted to go east so very
busy at the pin. No incidents but felt more like a dinghy start. We had about 5
knots from the south of east, with rain, so a wet beat to the end of
the island, where the wind switched off but not the rain. lots of zephyrs to get
different boats excited but no real gains. All classes did mingle up there. Once
almost north of the island, some 8 hours after the start 12-15 knots
arrived from the south east so all now heading north.
Harold Snr is steering the boat with no problems at the
moment, he has some new software to try out. 1200 miles should be a good
shakedown.
No cooked dinner this evening just a shop sandwich
and a tin of pineapple slices. During the night will finish ginger nuts and bag
of Haribo plus crunchie bar.
