7 full days at sea completed and at 1230 done a smidgen over 1200nm.

Wind is now from where forecast and strength and we are doing 8.2 -8.5 knots most of the time with full main and jib. Last night was fairly busy doing course changes for the regular'ish wind oscillations and the odd rain cell coming by requiring reef 1 in, It was steady enough during the night to get about 5 hours sleep in anything up to 1 hour bursts.

After not seeing any competitors on AIS for 3 days, 2 popped up today. Jackdaw who about 4-5 miles away and can see with sun on the sails. Also Hultaj who did see for just a couple of hours now out of range again. I presume he is making his way further west so can come south a little free'er and faster, also a singlehander and may have just fallen asleep.

When freed enough earlier did put the Code 0 up and was up at 9-10 knots but the wind come up a couple knot and forward about 5 degrees and was 15-20 degrees off course wanted. If I was good at trigonometry and believed where the would be could have worked out if gains would be had by going a lot higher the bear away onto the Zero.

I do have another fix to do. A forestay track section has come apart, no problem for now, jib will stay up but will need to get 2 special Harken screws fasten back together, at least I hope it is that simple. The screws on the track had thread lock on them so not sure why 2 have fallen out, would suspect others loose and missing.

Dinner Irish Stew, baked baguette, cheese then sliced peaches. Chocolate chip biscuits, wine gums, double decker chocolate bar.
