Position 37.44.290N 25.39.930W
The last 10 miles took 3 hours, what a pain. With wind
shadow of the island wind got as low as 2 knots, if you can call it wind. Got in
at 01.40. Got to the dock about 2 am, no reception committee or beer. Whilst
sorting boat out Ian Braham and Pete came to see me just from the bar, they
got in about 4 hours before me and may have won the leg overall on corrected
time. Perhaps I should have a boat 19 years and get used to all its foibles and
get it going.
Just 5 hours sleep but my head had me bouncing
along on the waves very strange. Standard
Frosties breakfast, then got main off hopefully away for repair tomorrow.
Went to immigration and customs so now a legal alien. With Ian and Pete
went and had brunch then a shower and shave beard off.
Have 23 items on the to-do list with 11 must do before
going to sea again. Plan to have a beer or 2 each evening to build the
fitness levels.
Return leg starts Tuesday 20th June, which
hopefully be the next update from Bonkers.
