Weather overcast and humid, not much sunshine. Checked a
few more items against the IRC Cat3 requirements, which have been updated a
little since I last studied them. In the grab bag we needed a whistle and a
torch plus a strobe, which could be in the torch. Items sourced although our
strobe just does SOS.
Checked our searchlight for MOB, to my surprise it did
not work, it is one that is connected to ships power. Fault eventually located
at connector below hatch had big build up of salt corrosion. Cleaned and put
back together and now a working searchlight.
Did some cleaning today of the cooker and heads, all
look a lot better.
Nelson's Dockyard is a major tourist attraction and lots
of coaches come everyday, with what appears to be mostly Americans. At the end
of the tour they get a rum punch at the bar about 50 meters from us and a lot
then walk past the boat back to their coaches outside the marina. What is
surprising is the number of people posing in front of the boat for a photograph
and name of the boat. Perhaps I should have had the name made
bigger.
We have some people booked to come out to us, Emma after
the Caribbean 600 to do St Maarten Regatta then down to St Lucia, end Feb
beginning Mar. Col and Chris coming out for Antigua Week end April beginning
May. If anyone else would like to come out just let us know and we can work
something out.
