ASW - Day 5

Another windy day in the Caribbean with 16-29 knots. Good days racing in that we did not gave any disasters. Racing in a choppy sea not good without wright on the rail. Both races today we had good starts and most of 1st beats.
Off wind we flew the asymmetric in play as an A5 probably not big enough for the conditions, .results today were a 7th and 6th. Chis worked hard but not as hard as Emma as he stopped playing the main when arms tired and was very slow
getting the asymmetric furled and he was never sick with the effort put in. Prema donna ILCA noy the fittest people around. As racing finished anchor chain recovered from English Harbour and now back on the windlass. Auxiliary sheets for racing now removed. Tomorrow dinghy to be deflated and stowed. Equipment and food we had in storage will be delivered back
to us in the morning 0900. Prize Giving being held here in Nelson’s Dockyard and now a band is playing very loudly. Tomorrow is Nelson’s Dockyard open Day, not sure what to expect but have seen some drill practice and heard salute guns going off. |
