The night contiued being frustrating with the wind all over the place in strength and direction so multiple gybes and reefs and rain showers. As day broke wind steadied itself and more aligned with forecast with respect strength, direction more governed by rain cells but nearly on the nail. Presently blue skies and high level wispy clouds in unusual formations. We hope this lasts until Wednesday as this mornings forecast suggested.
Due to frequent gybes we had a temporary gybe preventer block and tackle for port tack. Due to the sloppy sea when in light winds the sail backwinds and jolts the tackle, the top wichard hook straightened and fell off. The offending hook replaced with a snap shackle.
So far we have done a little over 2000nm and distance to Antigua, English Bay entrance 872nm.
Mainsail has some stitching coming undone near the tack that will need attention of a sailmaker, therefore another jobs will be to remove main when we get in, for repairs.
Dinner Chicken Balti, carrots, bmash, baguette, cheese and item 'A' which is peach slices. 'B' of yesterday was pear halves.
