Getting out through the bridge with 100 boats ivery interesting in the morning. All queued up trying to hold position with gusting winds because of the rain until the bridge opens at 0830. Lots of people watching from the edges the spectacle. Also there were a couple of superyachts going out and they did back us up as they only just fit through the gap.
Racing was not good for us as had a few mishaps. Race 1 after gybing the spinnaker the pole dropped to deck level, then the wind shifted for the drop so was a beam reach. Only a little bit went in the sea. Race 2 used the furled assymetric and and did not infurl properly so had 2 directional fiurling. Took some time sorting and missed the gate as windward leeward courses today. Retired from that one. Race 3 good start for us and downwind assymetric worked a treat. A little bussy at the gate and we had to change which buoy went around as another boat on starboard. Did work in our favour as inside boat and 2 others outside. Next offwind leg furled assy played up again and lost a place.
Tomorrow in race around St Martin, 28 miles and windier than today.
